At Mauka + Makai Studio, we aim to provide an intimate experience that combines exceptional work and genuine customer service.

We currently offer lash extensions, lash lifts and tints, and custom airbrush spray tans.

Parking an be found on the street (2 hour limit). There is also a small parking lot on the same street on the left of the studio. There are three unmarked stalls that are available to park in. Avoid stalls marked “Future Resident Parking” and do not park in private lot across the street.

Lena Bui
Owner + Licensed Master Esthetician

Lena was Born and raised in Honolulu, HI.

Realizing that she was an awful waitress, she moved up to Seattle with her BFF without a second thought, to train at The Euro Institute of Skin Care. Choosing to advance her education, she went on to receive her license as a Master Esthetician at the Washington Laser Institute. Lena continues to attend trainings to perfect her technique and stay up to date on new trends.

Buddy has passed away and I don’t have the heart to take him off the website so here’s the bio I had written for him.

Buddy is 13 years old but he’s forever a puppy in my eyes. He’s a chihuahua/terrier mix and is just under 6 lbs. Buddy is shy and quiet but loves to run up to clients, tail wagging, when they walk through the door. He might not let you pet him for very long, but please don’t be offended. He’s known me for all his life and sometimes doesn’t let me pet him either; I’ve learned to accept it. He does great with humans but is afraid of other pups.

Because of this, we ask that you please let us know ahead if you plan to bring a pup with you to your appointment.
